MEDEF International supports the expansion of French companies

Since MEDEF International was founded, it has been working to help the French companies succeed as they expand globally.

In its efforts to connect French business leaders with public and private decision-makers in emerging and growing trends, every year MEDEF International organises 140 high-level global summits, 115 of which are held in France with heads of state and government officials. These meetings in France and abroad give entrepreneurs a chance to learn the priorities of rulers, decision-making networks, the business community and the terms of doing business in countries around the world, finding new partners and ventures.

A group of 18 team members

It also organises working groups of French CEOs where they can share their experiences, discover ways to raise capital, speak with international financial institutions and recommend ways to improve conditions for setting up and expanding companies. The group has 18 members who work closely with the MEDEF's International Division, trade federations, the regional MEDEF chapters and a worldwide network of employer organisations.

Medef position on Brexit

The French and British economies are intricately linked. Our primary trade surplus is with the

United Kingdom. Around 400 000 French people work in the UK. Every sector, each individual

company, has specific and unique interests regarding Brexit. Everything possible must be done in

the forthcoming negotiation to avoid lessening the quality and the strength of this relationship.

French companies must continue to be able to trade with the UK without supplementary costs or

restrictions. A level playing field must be ensured so that French companies can continue to invest

and create jobs.
